history: Norah Paiava was born to Victoria and Gavin Paiava on March 13th, an afternoon where sunlight flew through the windows of the hospital room. To an outsider looking within the doorway of the hospital room, you would see a loving couple cradling their new born baby girl. But things are not always how they seem.
Only a mere month after the birth of the bouncing baby girl, Victoria Paiava or Victoria Reese -her maiden name- left after a simple heated arguement with Gavin about the dripping faucet. Though anyone could see that this was only a stick in the hay stack. Their problems had been rising since they both first learned about their conceived baby girl. While Gavin was head over heels for his wife and completely ecstatic, Victoria was not as thrilled. A baby wasn't where she wanted her life's focus to be, as an aspiring singer Victoria felt that little Norah would ruin her chances at ever hitting it big. She packed up her bags that very night and took off, taking the needed money from their joint bank accounts and jetting off to from their Long Island, New York home to the fabulous LA, Victoria was gone, and her only remnants were the divorce papers served by mail with her signature already on the dotted line.
Life grew steadily harder for Gavin as he was forced to raise his one month old daughter all on his own. The struggling lawyer made due with what he could, which wasn't all that bad, and still made time to be the role model father to young Norah. As a father he lived to make her smile, and longed to hear her giggle everyday when he got home from work. Norah was the epitome of a daddy's girl, going to baseball games together, and learning everything he had to teach. But at age twelve while rushing on the way to what could've been his career defining court case, Gavin took the chance of making it through the yellow-changing-red light, and was taken out by a speeding cop car.
From the moment that Norah walked into the main office of her school after being called down, she knew something was wrong. Lucas Gordon, a local cop and friend of her father's was forced to tell her the news. From age twelve on Norah was put into the care of her cousin Justin living in Virginia Beach. Justin, being an artist has himself pretty well off, allowing Norah to live in his small house. The two have always gotten along fairly well, and although he loves her Justin isn't about to tell her how to live her life. Summer is here, and school is done, Norah is ready to just let go.

roleplay sample:When she'd stepped on her flight to Aspen, she'd thought this was just going to be a normal relaxed vacation; one that she'd needed. She'd bought a thick ski coat, and packed enough clothes to douse herself in layers from some of the local shops, and was ready to brace the cold. She hadn't been snowboarding since she'd lived in Switzerland for a grand total of a month, but it would be nice to get her snow legs back that was for sure. There was something odd about snowboarding, relaxing, and yet you get the best adrenaline rush. The feeling was something she'd longed to experience again ever since moving from the wonderful snow-ridden country. She'd had to say of all the places she'd lived -and God there was a lot- that was one of the best.
She clapped her snow doused boots on the carpet designated for doing so, before her emerald colored eyes found the check in counter for the lush hotel that the school had booked for their stay. She'd been hearing that this hotel was the best Aspen had to offer which wasn't surprising seeing as her school only wanted the best, nothing less. She'd wonder what kind of perks the rooms would have, like the bath tub. Natalie was freezing down to her bones, and the moment someone on the flight had mention something about a bath or shower she'd began hoping that there would be a beautiful tub for her to take a nice warm bath in when she arrived at her room. That was her main priority. It was too late now to do anything else -er well, not really if you're one of the people on her school ski trip. Rules were never respected, not that she was there to enforce them; she'd be quick to join in on the bandwagon too.
Stepping up to the from counter, her suitcase pulled to a stop behind her, she laid her frozed fingers on the smooth mahogany wood ready to check into her room as soon as possible, "Natalie Foxxus checking in," she hated the way her voice was when she was talking formerly. She sounded like a goody-two-shoes, and it was actually rather annoying but the woman behind the counter just nodded, and swiveled herseat backwards to grab a large, yellow envelope.
"This contains room keys, resort maps, attractions, coupons, rules and regulations, open and closing times as well as phone numbers for local restuarants and shops," she spoke in one breath with a smile that didn't falter. Natalie's eyebrows couldn't help but raised before she reached out and took the envelope within her own cold and still somewhat rigid fingers and with a smile, and polite 'thank you' she was off with her suitcase in the general directions of the elevator with a small wave to Pete as she left. He'd understand that she just wanted to jet to her room, and get in that tub. It was all she talked about on the ride here.
As Natalie pressed the small upwards arrow, it illumated as she stepped back with her pamphlet. It wasn't very long before the elevator alerted her that it was in fact there and impatiently waiting for her to go inside. Happy to oblige, Natalie stepped inside, her suitcase beside her as she began to open the heavy and rather thick pamphlet; her room key being the first thing to fall into her fingers. Room 311. She immediately wondered who her roommate would be, she hadn't bothered to look at who she was assigned to but just hoped it was anyone but Ella. Then they'd have problems; knowing them they'd probably do the tape on one half of the suite kind of thing. Just to avoid the inevitable confrontation that would ensue. She pressed her floor number and continued to explore the packet, pulling out whatever lame rules she didn't want to follow, but when she did she'd found that there were handwritten words all over them, contradicting the normal rules that had been written. The words suggested scandal, sex, and alcohol; everything that went on at home, just here in Aspen instead.
Stepping out of the opened elevator doors, Natalie excitedly dragged her suitcase down the hall approaching her room, and hearing commotion in the other rooms she passed. There seemed to be a bit more noise than usual which would've been odd to her if she would have noticed. Instead she hurried to her door, and slid in the key opening it up to an empty room. Her roommate had not arrived yet; she'd get first dibs.
"Sweeet," she spoke to herself with a nod, and immediately pulled her jacket off, hanging it in the closet beside the door, before moving further into the room. The ceilings were high suggesting that the school had rented out all the rooms on the top floor; there was a large window in the corner that overlooked Aspen in it's current nightime state. Light's and periwinkle power frosting the entire town. It was beautiful. This trip was definitely worth it. Setting her suitcase on the single king sized bed, she didn't ask questions as she immediately retrieved the small bag with her toiletries, and a change of clothes and headed for the bathroom.
Flicking on the light, her eyes casted over a beautiful marble bathroom with a large white tub in the back of the room. Her smile stretched to her ears, as she rushed over, and began to run the water, dumping in one of the packages of bath salt on the side of the tub amongst other samples. She shivered a bit as she unpacked her things to the counter, but just seeing the steam rise from the bathwater warmed her up just a bit. She made sure the door was closed, before stripping down and stepping into the warm water of the full tub. Tieing her hair atop her head, she flicked off the water. She laid back slowly, letting the warm water seep over as she closed her eyes with a sigh. This trip was definitely going to be worth it.
