,, your voice was the soundtrack of my summer, do you know you're unlike any other

Juliet was looking forward to a long, relaxing summer in Virgina Beach. Her first year of college had been a whirlwind, between juggling her studies, a boyfriend, friends, and work. Jules couldn't have been happier with her aptitude for juggling them all, but really, all she really wanted was a break, and she was finally getting it. Long days lazing on the beach, doing whatever whenever she wanted was something she could definitely get used to. She'd been in VA Beach for nearly two days now, and she'd already visited the beach three times... well, four counting today. Juliet wasn't really what one might consider to be a 'material girl'. She was satisfied just as well by the simpler things in life, not only the finer things... but she was a firm believer in a good summer tan, and that required frequent trips to the beach to lay out and bake in the sun. Today, however, was more of a swimming day for her: she wanted to get wet and have some fun in the water. Maybe try some surfing, which she hadn't done in a while. If she could find a surfboard rental place. So she decided she better get an early start, and an early-ish start she got.[/blockquote]
Truth be told, Juliet was a little bit worried about this summer. Not about how it would turn out, she knew it would be amazing, but with the people she would come across. Her ex-boyfriend, Darien de Valle, was a VA Beach native, and he had told her, when they'd broken up, I'm going home, and you know, maybe it would be best if we broke it off for the summer. Jules had agreed: they'd been in a relationship, but it'd been casual enough. But it was hard not to fall for a boy with a beautiful smile, an adorable laugh, dark hair, hazel eyes... Juliet stared at herself in the mirror for a moment, lost in her thoughts of Darien. She wasn't going to go searching for him this summer, and she wasn't going to throw herself at him: she wasn't that type of girl. If he wanted to be happy single or with someone else... then she'd just have to deal. But she wouldn't exactly be complaining if she just so happened to run into him somewhere. Jules didn't want to admit that part of her wanted that, to run into him and maybe rekindle their relationship... but part of her wanted to leave it alone, and let it lie. It hadn't been serious for a reason, right?
Juliet pulled her long blonde locks back into a ponytail, walking into her room. The house she was staying at, with her aunt and uncle, was a beautiful place. It was two stories, four bedrooms, four bathrooms, an theatre room, a family room, a guest house... there was no end to the splendor. It wasn't much different from her parents house, but it was still beautiful. Her room was girlish, but it suited her well enough. She walked over to the dressers that held her clothes, pulling out a skirt and a bikini. She put them on, then to her closet for her tank top. She looked at herself in the mirror for a moment, then grabbed her beach bag and headed out the door. From their house, it was only a ten minute walk to the beach, and that was nice. The days were never too hot, so the walk was always pleasant. Soon, she could hear the crash of the waves, smell the salt in the air, and the sandy dunes were in her sight. She walked towards them, smiling at some shirtless boys that said hello to her as she walked past. She walked over to a fairly empty spot and set down her stuff, opening up her bag and taking out a blanket and laying it down. She then started taking off her tank top, then her skirt, and stuffed them into the bag, which she placed on the center of blanket so it wouldn't blow away in the wind. She then started her walk towards the ocean, sighing softly as her feet hit the surf. She was about to wade deeper in when she heard someone say her name. At first she thought she was just hearing things, but when she turned around she found that her name was coming from a boy's mouth. A certain Mr. Darien de Valle. Her eyes widened, and she said, "Dare! Uhm... hey!" She wasn't quite sure what to say. She certainly hadn't been expecting to run into him this soon.
