today is gone, I'm the only light that you see you need someone, I know all you needed was meulling his prized black Mustang into an available space and shifting it into park, CT cut the engine and smiled to himself as he checked the time on his BlackBerry Storm. It was fifteen minutes to eight...he was actually pretty early. Not to mention he knew it would still probably be another twenty minutes or so before she decided to actually grace him with her presence. He had been meeting Emery for dinner every Wednesday night for what felt like ages now, even though it really hadn't been that long. It had originally started because Wednesday nights were right smack in the middle of the week, and they wanted a way to celebrate hump day since they didn't really want to get drunk in the middle of the week like alcoholics. So, they had ended up deciding to go out to eat to spice up the weekday. Each week they alternated picking the restaurant and since it was CT's turn, he had chosen Plaza Azteca. The choice had been for two reasons, really: he loved Mexican food and he loved that it was super cheap. Nothing was better than that combination as far as he was concerned. Another good thing was that it was really low-key and chill. He didn't have to dress up or do anything ridiculous and humiliating like that, which was namely why he enjoyed it so much. That, and he actually enjoyed hanging out with Emery, not that he'd ever admit that to her out loud. She had a big enough ego around him as it was, though it was all joking. He mostly liked talked to her just because she was really laid-back and fun to be around, especially whenever they were drinking or partying. He didn't know too many low-maintenance girls, especially ones that could keep up with him. Then again, he didn't have very many girl friends in general. Not ones that he wasn't trying to fuck, anyways. Not that he hadn't thought about it before. He had. Several times, in fact. Especially during the summer, when all the girls were running around in short shorts and bikinis twenty-four-seven. But before his hormones could truly get the best of him, he would remember that he and Emery were just friends--really good friends, in fact, and the last thing he wanted to do was fuck that up because he couldn't keep it in his pants for a couple hours. He wasn't that bad with self-control. That was AJ. Oh, yeah. That complicated things a bit, the fact that CT was best friends with her younger brother Alistair. The last thing he ever wanted to do was screw up his friendship with AJ, either. CT prided himself on being a firm believer in "bros before hoes" and didn't plan on changing that anytime soon. So nothing would ever happen between him and Emery. And he was okay with that...at least, he thought he was. No. There was no thinking about it. He was fine with this. Besides, he cared for Emery far too much for her to become just another notch in his belt. He had plenty of other girls to turn to for that, and didn't hide anything about the number of conquests he had. Hence why he had made that bet with AJ and their other two wingmen, Kyler and Ethan, to see who could sleep with the most girls by the end of the summer. And CT was pretty sure that AJ wouldn't be too thrilled if his own older sister just so happened to be contributing to the total on that list. Hell, CT was pretty sure he would hate himself if that were to ever happen. So, she was one of the only girls in the entire city that was considered truly off-limits to him...which, of course, only made him want her that much more. Okay. This was officially crazy. Sliding out of the car and onto the asphalt of the parking lot, CT closed the car door behind him, pressing the button on the keys that locked it and turned the alarm on. Shoving his hands into the pocket of his favorite beat-up black leather jacket, he headed towards the front entrance of the restaurant, shuffling his feet as he moved. The sun had almost set, coloring the sky a beautiful pinkish-orange color. God, he loved daylight saving's time. Being light out until around eight o'clock was most definitely a good thing, especially when it was still beautiful out. The temperature was warm enough that he didn't really need the jacket, but he wore it, anyways. He did, however, remove the signature black aviators covering his light brown eyes and stick them atop his shaggy chesnut brown hair. He pulled open the front door of the restaurant, smiling appreciatively at the gorgeous blond hostess standing behind the podium who was making no effort to hide the fact that she was staring openly at him. He got that a lot--and he'd probably get her number. But that was for later. Right now, he had other things to worry with. CT took a seat on the cushioned bench by the door, checking the time again and waiting for Emery to show. tags: emery calloway. status: done like steakkk. notes: LOVE THEM![/ul][/blockquote]

·EMERY CHRISTIAN CALLOWAY· ,, take this sinking boat and point it home, we've still got time ___________________________________________________________________ Emery was a little pissed off. Okay, not a little, a lot. She was absolutely raging pissed, and she was going to take it all out on the little shit she called her brother. She'd woken up this morning to loud knocking on her door. It was bad enough that her room just so happened to be right across the hall from her brother's, and her brother tended to sleep with the door left open just a little bit... and she happened to hear everything that went on in there. But when her brother decided to wake her up at ten o'clock in the morning on a Wednesday... well, she was pissed. Her and her brother shared a little house that was by the beach... well, it wasn't exactly little. Her father had bought it for Emery when she'd decided that she was going to move to Virginia Beach, and when her brother followed in her footsteps a year later, Em had decided that she'd let him stay with her until he found a place of his own that he liked. Little did she know, he was here to stay for a long time... that long time being a year, and counting. In Emery's head, he had no right to come bursting all up in her room and getting in her face, trying to get her to do something for him that, most likely, she was not going to do. Emery managed to drag herself up out of her bed to glare at her brother, who'd finally just opened the door. AJ looked anxious, and rushed to tell her to get ready for the party that AJ had agreed they'd go to for the day. Without telling her until the day of. She glared at him for a long moment, before swearing and rushing him out of the room, murmuring under her breath, They really should have stopped having kids with me....
Emery wasn't really one for the types of parties her parents threw, no. Her types of parties were the ones that involved loud music, alcohol, random hook-ups in random rooms of random houses, dancing, laughing... all the good things those college partiers did. Her parent's parties involved dull music, dull people, disgusting fancy food... all that 'fun' stuff. So, she wasn't looking forward to that, exactly. But her mood didn't improve when she realized two things: one, she had her Wednesday Dinner Night with CT, and two, she didn't have a dress picked out. Normally, she'd had these things figured out long in advance, but because AJ was a stupid fuck and gave her zero notice... she'd just have to work things out in the heat of the moment. She'd wear that dress that she wore to one of AJ's rich friend's party, and she'd just leave her parents party early to make it to CT. Missing out on WDN was just out of the question. She looked forward to it all week, spending time with him and just chilling, probably a bit more than she should. She grabbed a big bag before she left, tossing in a pair of converse and a jean jacket, just in case she didn't have time to come home and change before she went to meet him. God, he was in for a treat. Her friends that weren't a part of her parent's or brother's world seeing her in a dress was about as likely as seeing a pig fly: it never happened. But here she was, wearing some hot designer dress and going to dinner and Plaza Azteca... go figure, that would be her luck.
She didn't exactly mind looking extra good for CT, however, even though she knew that she probably should. CT and her and been friends for what almost seemed like forever, and they'd never once had anything happen that had been non-platonic besides harmless flirting and hugs. Emery wanted more to happen, but she sure as hell wasn't going to tell anyone that, especially not her brother. She already knew exactly what he'd go for. Em, those types of guys are always after one thing: sex. I know. He's one of my best friends. I think I'd know how he operates pretty well. But honestly, what bullshit was that? People acted differently under different circumstances, with different people... but maybe Emery was just fooling herself into thinking that she might be the person CT would act differently with... considering he even liked her like that in the first place. And truth was, he hadn't exactly given her much of a sign, if he did. Besides the flirting which was always purely platonic, there was nothing there... except for that biting physical attraction. She wasn't sure if he felt it too, but dear God, it was certainly their for her. But, Emery wasn't about to go changing anything about their relationship. Certainly not. Things were good just the way they were, with these Wednesday night dinners and all the good times they had when they were hanging out, raising hell as just friends.
Emery was about to slit her throat by the time she could leave her parents party, and it had been just as she hadn't wanted: too late to go home and change properly. So, as Emery excused herself and bid her brother goodbye in a very threatening way (it went something along the lines of, just wait until I get home tonight. Hope you find someone to fuck tonight, or else your ass is grass. God, the love was tangible), she grabbed her bags and made her way to her car. Once getting inside, she took off the heels that were killing her feet and put on her Converse, then slipped on her jean jacket, and was on her way to Plaza Azteca. She was already fifteen minutes late, but that wasn't really new with her. CT knew better than to expect her on time. She always just said she liked arriving fashionably late... but its was probably just because her internal clock was fifteen minutes behind. Emery pulled into the parking lot, grabbing her purse out of the passengers seat and getting out the car, walking swiftly through the doors. The smell got to her instantly, making her mouth water... but she wouldn't eat anything. No, of course not. Emery tried to avoid eating as much as possible, and it definitely wasn't a healthy habit. She was thin to begin with, but she got too thin whenever she got into these anorexic kicks. She'd practically perfected her technique: pick at her food and make it look like she was eating, but when she left she hadn't actually consumed anything. Tell whoever she was out with that she'd eaten previously and wasn't hungry yet, but she'd eat later. But with CT, she was running out of excuses. She spent so much time with him that she had pulled every trick in the book... he had to be getting wise to it. But she wasn't going to think about that. Besides, she hid it too well, she told herself. Her blue eyed gaze swept the restaurant, until she spotted that familiar, tall, dark and handsome man sitting at a table. She walked towards it, a scowl on her face, warning against any comments on her dress... but that'd never stopped him before. "Sorry I'm late," she told him as she sat down, putting her purse down beside her and looking at him, "AJ took the liberty of telling our parents we would be at one of their parties today. I just managed to get away." She rolled her eyes, then smiled at him a little. [/blockquote] ; done ! TAG; ct reese ! MUSIC; paper planes by M.I.A. !
