--- And she chose a yard to burn but the ground remembers her her children stir her Bougainvillea blooms.

Pulling up outside the mall in his out of place porsche, Lukas sighed. Blowing out a long plume of soft ciggeratte smoke from his indian ciggeratte, he felt the unusual pang of interest in his stomach. He had no idea what he was doing here. In fact the more he looked into the scenario he could see not one bit of logic in all of this. He could be with any girl he wanted right now, and it would be completley easy. He didn't need to be working like he was now. Was about to! It was obscene to even think about him trying to win a girl over. Normally it only took a few words, a flattering comment and a small touch on the face and most girls were his. But not Sommer. She was a real piece of work. But there was something about that fact that intrigued Lukas. She wasn't easy but she wasn't hard either. There had to be kinks in her armour in places, little nooks he could get into. Yeah, she was different, but in that good kind of way that people thought he was.
That was a lie. Really he was as simple as a brick wall. It went like this, plain and simple and if you couldn't tell then you didn't deserve the privallege of a brain. Walking passed a group of girls he smiled, flashing them a cheeky grin with a slight glint in his eye. The small comments that floated his way when he had fully walked passed them had no affect. They didn't inflate his ego anymore than normal, and he saw nothing special in any of them. Though maybe he'd go back and get some numbers, since it was always good to have backups. He took another long drag on his ciggeratte, greatful as the taste of it filled his lunges right up until he released it out in a slow long plume again. He walked further on, strutting more like and wading in the gazing eyes of girls as he did so. It was a burden really, being so goddamn goodlooking. Sometimes he got terrified that he wouldn't be able to handle it. Afterall, he hadn't always been this way. Thankfully people round here didn't know about that past. The fat past.
"Yo! Lukas!" Turning round at the sound of his friends voices, he smiled, throwing a wave their way as they approached. They were the typical boys you'd expect him to hang out with. They were beautiful boys, that looked like they should be gracing the pages of vogue or somewhat. And they all shared the same personality, it was the little things that seperated Lukas from them. Greeting them with the typical manly hand gesture and high fives, Lukas leaned against the wall, positioning himself with good view so he could see Sommer if she walked passed in a bid to ditch him. "What're you doing here? Last I heard you were with Heather today?" All of them shared a similar secretive smirk as Lukas laughed nervously, scratching the back of his neck knowing there was no avading the subject. He took a long drag, shrugging his shoulders.
"Ah, complications on that one. Her moms a total stallion and she hates me. Mind you..." he smirked, manly punching his friend on the shoulder. It's true, Heather was a babe, but her mom was even better, still young in her 30's and a total desperate housewife. The boys laughed, rolling their eyes and gazing at him with a small admiration. And a little jealousy. He took a last drag on his ciggeratte, plucking it from his mouth and crushing it out on the floor. His friends continued to joke with him, sharing stories and laughing, but Lukas was involved, he was too busy keeping an eye out for Sommer. He wasn't going to miss this oppurtunity. It was a strange rarity that someone interested him as much as she did, and he wasn't going to blow it today. So what if he had to take his time...it would be worth it in the end.

you're like my first bad habit, I can't live without it I can't give you up, give you up and even though you're trouble, I come back for doublen all honesty, Sommer had no clue what the hell she was even doing at the mall. Why had she even agreed to meet Lukas in the first place? As she closed the door to her sporty white Jetta and stepped one flip-flop down onto the hot asphalt, it crossed her mind once again that she could very easily back out of this whole messy ordeal. It wasn't like he had wanted to come today just to be with her specifically; he had just needed a girl for the moment. And right now, that girl happened to be Sommer. She didn't know why, though. Really. Out of all the girls Lukas could be gracing with his presence, she had zero idea why he would continue to attempt to chase her when there was no way she would ever be interested. Sure, the guy was cute and all, but he definitely had some major personality flaws--starting with that planet-sized ego of his. The most obnoxious thing was, when he wasn't being a first-class player and jackass, he was actually a pretty cool kid. It was like he had different personalities or something, that he used whenever the time was right. Well, she hoped today he would be chill around her, or else she was going to have to leave his ass right there at the mall. She didn't have time for jerks, players, or any of their bullshit drama, thank you very much. She had much better things she could be doing with her time. Unfortunately, due to the suckish and incredibly flat waves crashing outside her house, she couldn't even get in a good surfing sesh today. And not getting her surfing in really tended to mess with her daily routine. After all, hitting the beach was one of the very first things she did after she woke up each morning, and it totally sucked when that was messed up. Hence why she currently found herself wandering into PacSun, waving cheerfully at the two girls behind the register who were actually two friends from school. Well, at least it would be a lot more entertaining to talk to them than pretend to be interested in hoodies and sundresses at the moment. Tucking a strand of her long golden hair behind one ear, Sommer smiled brightly and made her way over to the counter, leaning against it. The cool glass instantly gave her tanned, bare arms goosebumps, but she didn't mind. "Hey, guys. What's up?" Trish, the brunette one, shook her head. "Same old, same old. How are the waves?" Sommer groaned. "Ugh. Don't ask." The redhead Jen laughed. "That bad, huh?" she paused before continuing, "You know, Trace has been asking about you a lot." Well. This was certainly a new development. Trace was the oh so adorable boy with the shaggy dark hair and twinkling green eyes who often worked here whenever Sommer came in. But she never knew he would ever be interested in her like that. How unexpected...but most definitely a pleasant surprise. She had to fight back a fierce blush with a laugh. "Really?" she asked in obvious disbelief, directing her gaze downward. When she dared to look back up, somehow Trace had materalized right before her eyes, standing behind the counter while the other two girls snickered. "Hey, Sommer, what's up?" he asked casually in that deep voice of his. Again, she had to fight the urge to hardcore blush. "Uhm, nothing, really. How about you?" she asked in her most nonchalant voice. Good. At least he wouldn't think she was a freak or anything. He grinned at her, nearly melting her into a puddle on the floor right then and there. "Just chillin. So I was thinking about hitting the skate park later. You interested?" he asked her, cocking his head to one side so his bangs fell into his eyes. Oh, man. He was the epitome of cuteness. "Sure. I'd love to," she somehow found her voice. His adorable smile only widened. "Cool. We can grab some dinner after. I'll text you later." She could only nod. Really, that was all she was capable of doing at the moment. Well, that and squeaking out an, "Okay." Brilliant. Just brilliant. It was then she remembered she had actually come to the mall for a reason. And she was supposed to be meeting up with said reason in about--her eyes flickered down to her Roxy watch-- right now. Great. "Uhm, I'm actually supposed to be meeting someone," Sommer found herself saying but didn't quite believe it. Why in the world was she going to meet Lukas when she had Trace and her friends right here? She must have been a glutton for punishment or something. "But definitely text me later. Bye, guys," she waved with one final smile before turning to head back out into the mall. The sight before her made her nearly stop in her tracks. Great. As if life didn't hate her enough, Lukas and his asshole buddies just happened to be standing directly in her line of vision. And his line was aimed at her. So. He had seen all that, including her and Trace. Again, great. Wait...what was she thinking? Sommer straightened up, newly determined. She could talk to whoever she wanted to, thank you very much, and why should she give a damn what anyone--let alone Lukas--think about it? Shaking out her hair, Sommer tugged on the bottom of her yellow Hollister tank and strode out of the store, suddenly very much aware of how short her plaid shorts were with every step she took. But so what? If she looked amazing and Lukas couldn't handle it, well that was just his fault. She was on top of the world as she approached him, and she wasn't about to let anyone bring her down. tags: lukasss. status: dunzo. notes: haha I felt like throwing in some drama =][/ul][/blockquote]

Why'd you cut holes in the face of the moon base? Don't you know about the temperature change
"So you're meeting Sommer?" Lukas nodded slightly at his friend Chris, it was a conversation he wanted to avoid strangely, for the main reason that he knew what they all were thinking. Sommer was just another girl, and it was weird for Lukas to be going out of his way to meet up with a girl. Lukas sighed scratching his chin and fingering a lingering love bite on his neck. He didn't know how it had gotten there, and he hadn't even registered it this morning. Maybe it had instinctivly popped up as soon as he laid eyes on a girl. It was a farfetched theory. Far fetched, but not impossible. Reaching inside his pocket, Lukas fished out another ciggerrate, lighting up quickly and scanning the area as they walked. And then he looked, actually paying attention and felt annoyance twist in his gut.
It wasn't the fact that Sommer was with her girlfriends. She was a girl, and thats what they did. It wasn't that she was flashing about for all the world to see and leaving little to the imagination, because he wasn't complaining. Lord knows he wasn't complaining. But it was the fact that she was talking to another guy. Not just any guy. Lukas had seen him times before, he was a gruff speaking kinda guy, and if you weren't housing the x chromozone, then his real personality shone through like a beaming ray of unnerving sunshine. "Will you excuse me a minute Chris?" Chris looked at Lukas for a moment, but when he saw that Lukas's eyes were fixated on something else, he nodded, understanding quickly. "Sure bud. I'll hit you up later. Oh and don't do anything I wouldn't do right? Not that I've done as much as you have! You dog!" But Lukas was gone already, and he hadn't heard a word of Chris's babble laced with admiration. All that was left was a big empty Lukas shaped space and the unfinished crushed ciggeratte on the floor.
Confidently, and seemingly unphased his walked over to Sommer as she spoke with Trace. So far she hadn't seen him, and he wasn't sure just yet if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Part of him wanted to will her to look round and feel bad. After all, it was Lukas she was meeting up with today. Not Trace. And then part of him wanted to get vicious. This wasn't his first encounter with Trace, and while he was sure she didn't know that, he couldn't help but find it riling that she would stand there and talk to him, when he so obviously didn't deserve the wasted breath. Watching them as he walked, he couldn't deny that Sommer looked good. Trace might have been a complete asshole for even attempting to steal Lukas's porridge, but he did have good taste. Unlike all the other girl Lukas had hooked up with, Sommer had a certain confidence that most of them lacked. They were always self concious girls that needed the reassurance of a good screw from a hot guy to get them to come out of their shells. Sommer didn't need that, and it showed. She held herself with an arrogant confidence and for almost a minute Lukas felt as if he were looking in a mirror at himself. He paused and his friends passed him again, shaking their heads for a second. Lukas began walking again, and this time Sommer wasn't talking to Trace. She was in fact walking towards him in all her glory. He tugged at the collar of his leather jacket, adjusting the thin material of his black shirt so it covered the love bite on his neck to a certain degree. It didn't do too much concealing, but it worked a little.
He placed his hands in his pockets, walking with a casual confidence and a softer look on his face than normal. His features were more relaxed than chisselled now, and less like a model and more like a dream he seemed eagerly at peace. Even though inside he fought the urge to spill all the beans on Trace. This wouldn't do. Sommer would think it was her getting him so worked up, when it clearly was wasnt. It was just Trace. That silly boy with chickpeas for brains. Deciding against saying anything for now, Lukas resolved to push his annoyance down. He wouldn't bring it up unless she did, and if she didn't, then they just wouldn't talk about it. They'd walk around, enjoy the day and hopefully head back to his place for some 'I realised I think you're amazing' sex. It would all work out as he planned.
"Nice chat?" Shit. Inwardly cursing himself, Lukas felt his resolve crumble. Well, since he'd brought it up anyway, he might as well go the whole hog on this one. He planned to go to town and back again for another round trip. Or something like that. "You wanna be careful dressing like that around Trace. He's bound to get wicked thoughts." Because lord knows he was. The tone in his voice felt harsh and serious, and inwardly cursing himself for a second time he attempted to lighten the mood with a small smile. His face was once again soft and comprimising. "Sorry. suffer from this rare disease where I can't go outside my house without being a total rude git to someone." God apologies hurt. He laughed slightly, scratched the back of his neck and smiled gingerly. "And I'm also sorry to report that I've misplaced my cups and string. Guess that means we'll have to walk close together." He threw her a smile, a dazzling one this time that was full beam, showing his pearly whites. If all else failed he'd win her over on the smile front, and all would still go according to plan, though he felt the plan slipping away more and more as each second passed. He'd just have to up his game.

you're like my first bad habit, I can't live without it I can't give you up, give you up and even though you're trouble, I come back for doubleust like always, Lukas was wearing his trademark self-satisfied smirk. Usually Sommer wanted to reach up and smack it off his otherwise handsome face. But not this time. She was too busy reeling from her conversation with Trace, and she didn't plan on coming down from her high any time soon. Unfortunately, Lukas had other ideas. "Nice chat? You wanna be careful dressing like that around Trace. He's bound to get wicked thoughts." The smirk only grew. Hand on her hip, Sommer cocked her head to one side, raising an eyebrow. "Jealous much? And here I thought I'd never see the day when that happened. Now I can die happy." she deadpanned. Though she had to admit, she couldn't help but be strangely flattered, if only a little bit. Granted, Lukas made it his hobby of sleeping with most of Virginia Beach, so she didn't feel but so special. But she had to be doing something right if she had been declared worthy of his attentions, right? Well it was that, or he had just decided to chase her since she hadn't actually already slept with him. Either way, she figured she was allowed to feel proud of herself. Though she was totally thrown for a loop when he actually apologized to her. Lukas Brovushkina, known womanizer and insincere jackass, apologizing to anyone was hard enough to believe. But to her? Well, that was just nothing short of insane. Now she was pretty sure that the world was going to end or hell had frozen over or something. Because leopards didn't just change their spots all willy-nilly. She wasn't stupid enough to think he decided to randomly change for the hell of it. No, there had to be an angle here...didn't there? Sommer couldn't help smilng at his self-depracating humor. He was clever, she'd give him that. Probably way more than people gave him credit for, herself included. "Oh, is that what it is? All this time I just thought you were an asshole." she shot back. She was glad she had actually managed to say it before he flashed her one of his disarming smiles that got him whatever he wanted. Which, for the moment anyway, appeared to be her. That part still confused the hell out of her, but she was just going to go with the flow. That was what she did best, after all. If only he would just drop the act with her and talk to her like a normal person, things would be so much better. But, she reasoned, he probably walked around putting on such a front for everyone that maybe he didn't even know how to drop it. She refused to believe that he truly was a heartless jerk like he appeared to be three-fourths of the time. His apology had just proven that. Call her an optimist, but Sommer knew better than anyone that people always acted the way they did for a reason. She just wished she knew what his reasons were. Maybe things might even change between them. But for now, she was just going to have to go along with this little game they were playing, this sarcastic back and forth accompanied by his random flirtatious interjections. She could deal with this for now. At least until she figured out what made Lukas tick. Then, all bets were off. She felt like she was at a loss for words, though. What the hell were they supposed to talk about? All the things she wanted to ask him, she didn't know if she should--or could. It seemed too risky, and she didn't know if he would be upfront or just keep on hiding behind his mask. Well, she'd never know if she didn't try, right? Sommer decided to just go out on a limb and see where it took them. "So, tell me, what made you actually want to spend your time shopping with me? Since I'm assuming that you don't voluntarily wander around the mall--unless picking up girls is involved." she added thoughtfully. Yes, she could definitely see Lukas and his pack of friends prowling the mall, looking for unsuspecting girls they could prey on. But she preferred not to think about him like that. She liked him much better like this--cute, genuine, funny, a bit self-conscious, even. It showed that he was human, and he tended to have redeeming qualities after all. Sommer liked to think she was an excellent judge of character, but then again, there had been some times when she most definitely had been proven wrong. She hoped now wouldn't be one of them, but then again, she didn't know Lukas nearly well enough to truly pass judgment on him. Not yet, anyways. She liked giving people the benefit of the doubt, hence why she had even agreed to meet him at the mall in the first place, no matter how much she claimed otherwise. She was just patiently waiting to see how often the real Lukas would rear his head before deciding whether or not he was even worth her time. If she was being completely honest with herself, she would have to admit that there was something about him that kept pulling her towards him, no matter how much she may not have wanted it to be true. That didn't mean she had to like it, though, and it most certainly didn't mean she had to admit it. She didn't plan on caving into him any time soon, especially since she was pretty sure he was only interested in the chase when it came to her. He seemed like a guy who loved a challenge, and she was definitely presenting him with one. She flashed him another smile as they began walking again. "Since, you know last time I checked, I wasn't just another brain-dead Barbie."tags: lukasss. status: dunzo. notes: hmm I think I like the two of them lol.[/ul][/blockquote]

"Are you sassing me?" He laughed, actually threw his head back and laughed. It was an occurance he'd never felt before, the feeling of being sassed, but for some reason he thoroughly enjoyed it. There was something about being put in his place that was exciting. Mainly because he'd never been put there before. "I cannot believe you actually sassed me! I am well and truly..." he didn't finished, only a chuckled a deep gruff chuckle and sighed. He looked around slightly, back to the spot where Sommer had been talking to Trace, and saw the tall boy serving a customer, occasionally looking over towards their direction. If he was seeing this that was fine, but if he wasn't that was just as fine. Because Lukas couldn't care less, it wouldn't be the first time he was envied. It was a regular occurance as opposed to the sassing. He listened to her talk, hitting back at him with humour of her own, "Oh, is that what it is? All this time I just thought you were an asshole.". He smiled at that. It was nice to have someone retort back as opposed to just laugh and not really understand that he was joking.
None of his friends got his dry humor at all. They all laughed over the top, and even when they did Lukas knew they didn't get the joke at all. It was a sad life when you're friends didn't get your jokes. "See, now you know different. Means you can go a little easier on my next time." He smiled a cheeky little smile and chewed on the inside of his lip. As they walked he felt her slight unease at being here. He couldn't blame her he supposed, afterall he was really here for one thing from her. But then again, he was going out of his way rather more so than normal. Usually he could hook up with someone, and there were no day dates involved.
He focused on what she was saying, having involuntarily tuned out for a second, thinking silently to himself that he needed to watch that. She disliked him enough already without knowing he wasnt listening to her. "So, tell me, what made you actually want to spend your time shopping with me? Since I'm assuming that you don't voluntarily wander around the mall--unless picking up girls is involved." Scrunching up his face he made a disgusted noise, puffing out his cheeks a little for emphasis on how gross he found the idea. "Ugh! Prowling the mall? That is so not my scene!" He shook his head adamantly, his face still one of cute disgust. Normally he always looked normal. His face never looked this random and he rarely pulled faces around people. Sommer was seeing him in a different light that only his little sister saw.
Returning to normal he laughed lightly, sliding one hand out of his pocket and scratching the back of his neck. It was a small habit that he could never break, it was just one of those things. "I actually quite like the mall. There's a great art shop just towards the back, theres a really cheap stationary store aswell which is good for paper and...and this is the deal clincher for me...theres an AMAZING hot waffle stand around here somewhere." He nodded, his face serious and excited all at the same time. Yes. He loved the mall. And food. Which may have struck some people as very odd. He usually only ate fruit and vegetables, he was infamous not only for his womanising, but for his abundant appetite for all things healthy or nothing at all. It had only been a few months ago that there was a rumour going round that he didn't eat at all. While Lukas had managed to squash the rumours, some people still believed now that he was an anorexic or a robot. No. He ate....a lot. "Besides, I like people. And where better to find people than the mall or prison? The mall is just more accessible." He smiled slightly and fiddled with a ring on his pinky finger. It was small and plastic with a pink gem, and when Sommer said "Since, you know last time I checked, I wasn't just another brain-dead Barbie." he smiled, nodding and agreeing with her, playing with the ring from his baby sisters barbie playset on his finger.
"And thats a good thing. Barbie can't talk you know that right. Body of a model, IQ like a grapefruit." He smirked. "Anyway why did you agree? It would have been so easy for you to say no. Then you could go spend all your time with er..." he looked back in Trace's direction who was staring, kind of like a lost puppy. Not so cool as she probably thought he was. "Don't look, he's staring!" He pretended to hide behind his jacket collar, winking at her cheekily and laughing slightly. He did have a playful side too. It wasn't all fun and screwing with him.

you're like my first bad habit, I can't live without it I can't give you up, give you up and even though you're trouble, I come back for doubleommer couldn't help but laugh. "Who the hell says 'sassing'?" she asked in between giggling. He truly was different, this one. But, she was learning, it wasn't all necessarily in a bad way. He actually seemed to have redeeming aspects to his personality, and they were quite pleasant to discover. He did have a great sense of humor, though, very dry and sarcastic. She definitely was a sucker for a guy who could make her laugh, at any rate. She noticed he kept looking over his shoulder back towards Trace. "Why don't you take a picture? It'll last longer," she teased him, though she was quite intrigued to find out just why he was irritated so much. It almost seemed like more than jealousy, but she wasn't sure what it could be, since she didn't know either boy all that well yet. She was about to ask Lukas, but he continued to speak. "See, now you know different. Means you can go a little easier on me next time." she liked that he could return the jokes just like she could. It made it a lot easier to talk to him, and far less awkward. Considering how weird it could be to be there with him, it wasn't nearly as bad as she had initially expected. She might have been even enjoying herself a little, though if someone had asked, she would have denied it like hell. After all, everyone knew that guys like Lukas only wanted one thing from girls, and she certainly didn't plan on caving to him like that. But, like she always said, everything happened for a reason, and you never knew when things--or people--were going to change. So she liked to keep an open mind and just go with the flow. It seemed to be a pretty good life philosophy, and was working well for her so far, anyway. She nearly fell over from laughing when she saw the face he made at her suggestion of picking up girls at the mall. Who knew he could be so expressive? For that matter, who knew he had standards when it came to where he selected his next conquests? It just made her want to laugh even more. When Lukas began speaking, Sommer couldn't help but be surprised at what he said. "I actually quite like the mall. There's a great art shop just towards the back, theres a really cheap stationary store aswell which is good for paper and...and this is the deal clincher for me...theres an AMAZING hot waffle stand around here somewhere." Well. Who would have ever thought that the resident womanizer would turn out to be...well, deep? Yet another pleasant surprise. It seemed that Lukas just might have been full of them. He really should have let more people see this side of him, because it most definitely wasn't horrible. He was quite...tolerable. Likeable, even. But that was yet another thing she wouldn't have admitted out loud. "Good thing you're a womanizer, or else I just might start to think you were gay." she joked, sticking her tongue out at him between her teeth. Childish, perhaps, but she could totally get away with it. It was one of her trademark moves, and he should have been treated to it just like everyone else. It was only fair, after all. "Besides, I like people." he went on, "And where better to find people than the mall or prison? The mall is just more accessible." she laughed at his smile, then noticed him playing with a small plastic ring on his finger. "Dude," Sommer began with a laugh, "You're definitely gonna have to explain the ring. Especially after the gay comment.""Did you know that if Barbie existed, she wouldn't be able to stand because she's so anatomically incorrect?" She lowered her voice in a loud, conspiratorial whisper and added, "I think it has something to do with all that plastic in her boobs." She felt giddy and kind of hyper, but that was just who she was. And if she felt that comfortable around Lukas, then that was definitely a good sign and a step in the right direction. "Anyway why did you agree? It would have been so easy for you to say no. Then you could go spend all your time with er..." he went on before glancing back at Trace. Sommer turned to look, too, and Trace was staring at the two of them. Oh, God. Hopefully he wasn't getting the wrong idea about them. She smiled and gave him a little wave, which luckily he returned. The last thing she needed was some misguided testosterone-fueled fight for her honor, or something equally barbaric and chauvinististic. She shrugged with a soft smile. "I don't know. I'm a glutton for punishment?" she teased with a shrug. "Or maybe I thought there was more to you than most people get to see and I wanted to find out for myself before judging you." she said earnestly. She laughed at his expression when he claimed that Trace was looking at them. Who knew that Lukas had a playful side? He was full of surprises apparently. She laughed, pushing him gently. Looking back and forth between the two boys Sommer added with a sly smile, "Besides, I'm seeing him later tonight. Jealous?" She decided to ignore the voice in her head that prayed like hell that his answer would be a resounding yes. tags: lukasss. status: doneeee. notes: haha cuteness![/ul][/blockquote]

"Whats this new fascination you have with me being gay? I have a plentiful list of girls who will happily tell you different." He thought for a minute, then shook his head. "No, I take that back. 1 through to 50 will tell you happily. 51 won't be so happy, there was this whole fiasco when I left her house and knocked over an urn. Let's just say didn't go too well." He smirked at her, letting her know it was just a joke. Everyone else made a joke out it so why couldn't he? Looking down at his hand he smiled, holding his hand in front of them both so they could admire the plastic gem. It was slightly tattered, the silver color chipped off the ring part, but the small little pink gem was perfect still. He smiled at it.
"That? It's just one of my many. It's quite an extensive collection I own." He nudged her and rolled his eyes. Part of him thought twice about explaining the ring. She might continue to think he was gay and then decide to let him in the changing room with her in future, but he knew right now she was giving him a chance because he was laid back, being at least a little real for a change. So he went with the part of him that was ok with telling her. Because after all, why would she spread it through the grapevine about a little sister. It wasn't particularly juicy, but did leave open to why he was never seen with them. The truth was no one ever saw his little sister because he never saw his parents. He'd worked hard to distance himself from them, very hard. "My sister gave it to me when we were playing barbies. And before you saying anything about being gay I'm not. I just can't refuse her anything." He smiled, pushing his hands into his pockets. He suddenly felt too open for his liking, and a small blush rose in his cheeks. Oh god, that was totally cool. Not!
"She's the only girl in my life who I've never left in the morning." There was a moments silence and he laughed nervously. He listened to her as she spoke about wanting to judge him for herself, and cocking an eyebrow smoothly he felt a stab of upset in his stomach. It wasn't easy being who he was, people didnt think highly of him or they envied him too much to be real friends with him. It was why he treated girls the way he did, because no one ever treated him better. "God, I totally feel like you've been disecting my entire personality before we've even been on a da--hung out." He stopped himself before he said date. That would have been embarressing. Even more so than the stupid blush. He didn't know what was happening right now, but he needed food in his stomach and something in his mouth to distract him from creating a bigger loser out of himself.
He moved a little closer, seeing if he could close some of the space between them. He smiled at her and raised an eyebrow when she spoke. "Besides, I'm seeing him later tonight. Jealous?" He laughed, making another face, then bravely puckering his lips and blowing a raspberry. "How do you know you'll be seeing him tonight?" He smirked, nudging her again and then pulling her in the direction of the waffle stand, suddenly remembering where it was. Funny how that sort of thing can happen. "How do you know that you wont have such a good time with me, that you'll just forget about Trace? Besides, I hate to break it to you Sommer, but I think he's more interested in me." He sighed as if he was greatly troubled and then pulled a dramatic face. "It's a burden being such a babe." He looked around, smiling. "Waffles!" and low and behold there was the stand, in all its glory. Lukas raced on ahead, not running but walking in a powerwalk. He looked back at her when he reached the que, unbelieving at how she couldn't be running right now. Waffles here were amazing. "Come on girl! Didnt you hear? WAFFLES!"
Lukas liked his waffles.
