do you hear me, talking to you across the water, across the deep blue ocean under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm tryingighing, Rhys Montgomery strolled up and down the aisles of FYE, looking for what, he wasn't quite sure. He just liked to browse the entertainment store occasionally, looking for new CDs or DVDs. He already had an abnormally large collection at home, but he figured it couldn't hurt to get more, right? Right. Usually if he went, he would have something particular in mind to buy, but he was pretty much wandering aimlessly today, lost amidst the pop/rock section because his mind was far away at the moment. Why? He had spotted an old Stevie Wonder CD, wondering why he had stopped on that particular one. It couldn't possibly have the song on it, could it? Well, there was only one way to find out. Numbly, he picked it up to look on the back. His cobalt blue eyes scanned down the list of songs until he spotted it. Sure enough, it was there. Feeling oddly masochistic at the moment, he grabbed the CD and swiped the barcode under a nearby listening station, picking up the massive soundproof headphones and slipping them over his ears. He quickly skipped to the track in question, not at all stopping to wonder just why he was torturing himself like this. Sometimes it was just best not to ask. The song started, and he involuntarily found his head bobbing to the mellow beat, softly singing the words when the chorus hit: "I just called to say I love you...I just called to say how much I care...I just called to say I love you...and I mean it from the bottom of my heart."Fighting back yet another heavy sigh, Rhys removed the headphones, not even noticing when they missed the hook and fell onto the blue carpeted floor. Their song. Out of every CD in the entire store, he had subconsciously stopped in front of the one with their song on it. She had been the only girl he had ever had a song with. He had even sung it when they had done karaoke one night and even though there had been a million and one people in the bar that night, she swore up and down that she felt like she was at a private concert just for her. He missed doing things like that. He missed her. A lot. At first he had thought that the pain would subside the longer he was gone, that eventually not every single thing would somehow remind him of her, that they would both find new lives and get over each other. That may have been true on her part, but every day without her hurt as much as leaving her all over again. He was positive though, that she had long since moved on, had found new friends and new boys and carried on because she was just that strong, just that amazing. She was Kianna Baker, after all, and there were about a million reasons in the world that someone would love her. After all, hadn't he spent the majority of his life doing just that? They had practically grown up together, chasing each other around backyards, playgrounds, and the beach even in elementary school. In one way or another, Rhys had loved Kianna his entire life, even back when he claimed girls had cooties and were gross. And then, all of a sudden, his parents had decided to ship him across the country to California, of all places, to live with his grandparents for his senior year of high school. It had been the most horrible thing ever, not being with any of his friends or his family, but especially being separated from Kianna. He had gotten to come back one crummy day for graduation, and that had been the most painful and awkward thing ever. He couldn't take being there, pretending not to see the hurt and confusion in Kianna's eyes whenever she looked at him. It was way too hard. So he made it look as if he was going back to California for the summer. He figured it would have been the easiest thing on everybody. After all, he had been sent away to get a handle on his partying and drinking and get his life back on track before college. Why would Kianna ever want to waste her time with someone as pitiful and hopeless as he had been? Now he had things straightened out, because figuring out what he was going to actually do for the rest of his life helped take some of the pain away and allowed him to forget, if only for a few minutes at a time, about the love of his life being three thousand miles away. He was going to keep playing sports and pursuing music on the side, but was planning on joining a fraternity and majoring in business or finance. He had a plan. And hurting the girl he loved most of all--yet again--sure as hell wasn't part of it. Kianna didn't know he was back in Virginia Beach for the summer, and he planned on keeping it that way. Because as far as he was concerned, she was definitely way better off without him. tags: kianna baker. status: doneeee. notes: rambling, I know. hopefully it isn't too suckish =/[/ul][/blockquote]

Right Here, I promise you somehow that tomorrow can wait, some other day to be But right now there's you and me.
he brunette girl parked her black bmw in a space that wasn't occupied in front of the music store called F.Y.E. The name was short for "for your entertainment" and it fit the store well considering it was mostly a place to buy cds. Stepping out of the car, she smoothed out her oufit which consisted of a white tank top, light skinny jeans a vest to go over the top. Her brunette hair was down in waves and she had a bit of makeup on, not wanting to overdo it considering she was only going to the music store. Pressing the button to lock the doors on the expensive car, she walked away from the black vehicle and towards the front doors of the building known as F.Y.E. Kianna pulled open the doors as she reached them and entered the building, pulling off her sunglasses and placing them on top of her brunette head. Her first stop was to the tv on dvd section where all of her favorite shows were on dvd so that she could play them over and over again and never get tired. After looking there and finding the season of The Office that she had wanted but never had a chance to get, she headed towards the music section and found a cd, which at the time she hadn't noticed was the one that reminded her of Rhys. Her delicate hands had just grabbed a random cd that seemed out of place and scanned it underneath the barcode thingy. Kianna took the headphones off of their place on a holder and wrapped them around her ears. Being in FYE and the sound of music made her nostalgic about her one and only love, Rhys Montgomery. They had dated for a long time but then he had to move across the country to California and that meant the two of them breaking up. Music of her choice blasted from the headphones and silently, the brunette sang the words to the song coming from the headphones. It was one of their songs that she had chosen to listen to at the moment. Stevie Wonder's "I Just Called to Say I Love You" was the song that the couple had dedicated to their relationship. Among the songs were some that she had written for the school play. With the song ending a short time later, the brunette glanced around the store for a sign of anybody she knew in it. Glancing around the store, she finally spotted a head of light brown hair that she would know anywhere. But instead of going over there, she stopped herself thinking that she was just imaging things. Inside, she knew that she wasn't hallucinating or on crack and that Rhys was really in the same place as she was right now and he wasn't across the country. Resisting the urge to just stay in place, her black heels led her across the aisle and to where the boy stood in front of a cd case. "Is that really you Rhys?" Kianna asked the boy who she thought and most likely knew was her one and only love. She sounded shocked when she asked and that was because she was. He told her that he was going to California and wasn't going to see her again and she believed him but here he was in Virginia Beach, right where he said he wasn't going to be. tags: rhys montgomery.. status: doneee. outfit: cuteenotes: its terrible i'm sorry. do you hear me, talking to you across the water, across the deep blue ocean under the open sky, oh my, baby I'm tryingp until that moment, Rhys had never thought it was possible for the human body to freeze up entirely. To stop thinking, to stop breathing, to stop your heart from beating. Yet he was pretty damn sure that that was exactly what had just happened. And all because someone called his name. Okay, he had to be honest with himself, at least a little. It wasn't just because someone had called his name. It was because of who had called his name. He would recognize that voice anywhere, hands down. And it currently was scaring the shit out of him. He shut his cobalt blue eyes tightly, wondering if there was any way that this was just a dream gone horribly wrong, and that this wasn't actually happening to him right now. But when he opened them again, nothing had changed. He was still standing in FYE, still totally unable to move, still completely dreading turning his head even the slightest millimeter. Because he knew what was going to happen when he did, and he wasn't entirely sure that he would be able to handle it. Well, it was now or never, right? Exhaling for a moment, Rhys slowly turned around, trying to brace himself for what he was about to see. But nothing in the world could have prepared him for that. She was there. Kianna Baker was standing directly in front of him, looking at him with a strange expression of shock, hurt, and expectation on her face. Damn it. He really couldn't deal with this. Not now. Not after he had been trying so hard to get her out of his mind. This just wasn't fair in any way, shape, or form. He was nowhere near strong enough for this. Especially since she had the nerve to stand before him looking so incredibly beautiful and lost. Oh sure, she had always been gorgeous. But since the last time he had really seen her she had been wearing her cap and gown, he could truly appreciate just how beautiful she really was. No way could he do this. There was no way he'd be able to stay strong with her standing right in front of him and taking her breath away like this. His resolve was going to crumble before he'd even spoken three words to her, because she had always had that power on him, ever since they were little. "Oh. Uh, hey, Kianna." Rhys barely managed to choke out, then wanted to immediately smack himself in the forehead. Hey, Kianna? That was the best he had been able to come up with for the girl he was still hopelessly in love with? God, he was fucking pathetic. No wonder he didn't deserve her. He supposed she was going to want some sort of an explanation for why he was standing in FYE instead of being three thousand miles away in California right now. Which he would be able to explain...eventually. He didn't know if he could actually say it aloud to her right now. It would be impossible. "How are you?" Was he fucking serious right now? This was just getting sadder by the minute. He needed to pull himself together, or else he was going to make things that much harder on the both of them. There was no way Rhys could just stand there and pretend like everything was all casual between them. That was mean and unfair. But at the same time, it wasn't like he could run up and kiss her, either. No matter how much he was dying to. So for now, he would have to attempt to deal with this. He only hoped that reminding himself of how much he deserved anything Kianna threw at him might make it hurt a little less. tags: kianna baker. status: doneeee. notes: ehhh shorterr. kinda sucks.[/ul][/blockquote]

t was shocking to see that same face that looked so pained to see her go not even that long ago. He looked the same but to her he looked so much better than the last time she had saw him. That last time that they had talked, made her heart break. At the moment, she had been completly and utterly in love with rhys montgomery and she didn't care who knew it. But he had told her that he was leaving for California before she could tell him that she loved him. Suddenly, her whole world had come crashing down in a moment. Kianna had cried for months and months over the boy, hoping that he'd at least write or text her or something instead of just forgetting all communication cause it would be too hard like he said. She had really hoped that he was lying about the no contact part, it had hurt her the most that he didn't even want to talk to her after all the time they had spent together as a couple. Instead of running up and hugging him or even kissing him, she stood in front of the boy, feeling insecure. He had broke her heart and she didn't even know why she was talking to him right now. Kianna just wanted to run away and forget that she had even saw him here but now that she had blurted out those dreadful words that she had wished never came out of her mouth, she was doomed. tags: rhys montgomery.. status: nott donee. outfit: cuteenotes: nott doneee.
